I'm in the UK and my record just arrived! It's so beautiful and I can confirm the hexagon flexi disc is in the booklet in the red vinyl edition.

No one is talking about these insane visuals that were uploaded to YouTube with the title Inferno Listening Session but are almost completely different to what was displayed during those sessions and certainly much more interesting than the hour of flaming hexagons that we got.

It has no audio so there's nothing to be spoiled by taking a look. I suppose it might be fan-made but it's very nicely done. Seems to be digitally superimposed over a clip of the ceiling of one of the venues. The account has no other videos and comments have been disabled, so maybe we'll never know how this came about.

Anyone want to decipher what the hell this is? P. Primers = psychological primers? Like the "audio trigger" experiment. MBI institute = moody bible institute. What is the MWCYF Conference?

Girard's mirror seems to refer to René Girard. He developed something called mimetic theory which revolves around humans mirroring each other's behavior or something.

Just because I've heard it said elsewhere, but that is not at all what I remember the music before the event being.

Feelsbad downloading it but I was never going to buy the vinyl version anyway, I don't have any means to play vinyl. Same with the cassette, its a great idea but all my tape machines are stunt ones picked for their bad quality!

The CD is in the post though.

But it's Giraud's Mirror, not Girard's.

Oh shit :D Seems the most famous Giraud is Henri Giraud, French army general? I’ve got nothing there

Also I’ve literally barely slept in a week…

There's Marcel Giraud, a designer who literally made mirrors.
There's Jean Giraud the mathematician known for Giraud's theorem. He worked on the foundations of modern algebraic geometry, especially non-abelian cohomology, topos theory, descent theory, torsors, and stacks. Idk what mirror could signify in that context
Ooh Antoine Giraud. Full on occult and psychology adjacent

Antoine Giraud seems like a good match. An obscure controversial fringe theorist who believed that art and science happen not through conscious intentions but automatic subconscious processes. Supporting rigid determinism. Apparently seen as pseudoscience and too ”mystically inclined” by peers. It’s exactly something the Moody Bible Institute would embrace as a part of some psychological priming protocol

Therefore Giraud’s mirror = mirror to the predetermined subconscious processes… like connecting with them better and allowing them to take over?

It’s called the ”ascension”. Fits in with the cult mentality that God has determined how everything unfolds and it’s essentially God’s will taking over when they get primed.

I wonder if this is something that literally (could’ve) happened?

What about MWCYF Conference? CYF = Christian Youth Foundation? Brainwashing the youth

Does 177 signify the catalog number? There are at least 4 volumes and volume 4 has at least 177 tracks? Giraud is just one of the experiments among other methodologies being tested? Could it be frequency instead?
