On my 4th listen now. My first, i was doing some house work and had it playing, not paying alot of attention as i was in and out of the living room. Can hear it throughout the house, but really didnt "listen". Anyways my first impression, i wasnt sure i liked the album all that much. I knew that i need to listen again and have all my focus on it. After putting on my my fav headphones i dove in. I was pulled deep. My mind was transformed after that 2nd listen. Soo much i didnt hear when i was was focusing on tasks at hand. Now I can say, im pretty sure this is my fav album. 13 years, for this, was worth the wait and am going to listen to this over and over.

Ok, I'm starting to like this whole Inferno thing lol. A little backmasking (drums and melody) in the 3th track. Good one. Addiction slowly starts I guess. This is my 3th listen.
1st was lying in bed, listened like 50% and it dropped off on yt.
2nd was doing some shit at house, like a guy above me, didn't work at all.
3th on a walk with earphones on - was better, but still underwhelming.
4th now, starting to feel the atmosphere, but I'm currently at the 3th track, yet it's getting better.

Wife and I just had an early morning first listening party. What an experience; one long, beautiful, indescribable invocation.

Happy BoC Day everyone, we made it.

Ya, just sitting and giving your full attention and really listen to everything while turning your mind off is what is needed. Just amazing when you can almost feel the "atmosphere" encompass you. Drove to the gas station, took a very very long route to listen to afew of the tracks that im really enjoying and that brought out more of the eeriness to blood in the labyrinth.

I've been able to give this a hazy, post run listen so far...Blood in the Labyrinth stand out at the moment. Everything felt, hypnotic evocative...that balance between light and dark that Boards of Canada do so very well. I remember an old channel, linked to the Boards of Canada YouTube page many years ago. I feel those videos truly captured the vibe of this release...anyways. Happy BOC day!

Love the album. Much much more than TH. Maybe even more than Geogaddi.

"Into The Magic Land" early favourite. Sounds like things going deeper.

It's easy to overlook this now that the album is out there, but this is a brand new video. I love the 3D hexagon logo that turns into a flower, which is also easily missed when the links pop up at the end.

For anyone that was still curious, the track that had me thinking "satanic Enya" in the listening party was Into the Magic Land.

I'm not sure I can fully endorse my mentally sticky first impression, but when it came up again it did make me laugh with recognition so I dunno not totally off base

All Reason Departs. Loving the back half of it - almost sounds like Autechre.

Nah, I'm sorry. The detractors are on crack. This album fucking slaps.
Sagan: In order to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe.

Basinski: I wanted Cascade to become this crystalline organism like a star or a liquid crystal spaceship, a jellyfish traveling through the galaxy…

My first listen was at the London session last week... then a few evenings ago, I caved and blasted the CD rip through my headphones on a walk through the countryside. Zero restraint on my part, but the moment felt right and I'm glad I did it. The vinyl arrived this morning, so I'm gonna spin it tonight for my third listen.

Initial reaction is extremely positive. I love so many things about this record, and at no point does it ever feel stale or uninspired. There's a really good chance that this may become my favourite Boards of Canada album, which feels really strange to admit.

Massive thanks to BoC and, of course, everyone on Twoism for making this entire thing such an exciting journey. It's been a wild ride but we made it!

I could not be happier. Inferno is fucking monumental.

lol I loved your description and told to my mum (whom is a huge Enya fan and knows I'm huge BoC fan). She replied I'm on my way to insanity lol.

A lot of category overlap with Clock DVA's Noesis.
You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.

The synchronicity is crazy. My buddy turned to me last night and said "this sounds like Enya" during that very same song...
