That is not what he suggested. He instead used it as a basis to support his point that the current political discourse is just an issue of the sexes. If it wasn't then he would be able to say "If only men voted it wouldn't matter it would either be Democrat or Republican" ... which is how it was when only men had the right to vote. (not that Democrat or Republicans were similar back then, just trying to make a point here that he is not saying only men should vote when he says that. But he very well could think that in no way related to his argument here.)

I read somewhere up there that we are trolls arguing in bad faith but you guys's bad faith starts much before you reply; when you read us.

I’d lock this thread on this quote if I still had locking ability as a mod.

Go listen to the album.

I think their post probably got started because they hired some hipster as their social media manager (to appeal to fellow kids and such) and that person wanted to pay homage to BoC for personal reasons but they absolutely have to get something like this cleared with some kind of political consultant. Now why would they green light someone supporting their favorite artist on the White House page? Where are the official White House tributes to right-wing artists? It's more likely that they looked into BoC and wanted to post this as ragebait

Echoing some points I made in another thread, they featured Radiohead and Sabrina Carpenter in ICE posts and they got livid and asked them to never involve them again. Idk what happened with Radiohead but they refused to apologize to Sabrina and featured her content again in a new post against her will.

They're actually just being assholes and it's just a little rapey from the government of one of the world's superpowers

Maybe it was the vocal samples of kids playing that attracted the Orange one and his minions?

Somebody posted "Trump heard about that 'right to children' stuff and got immediately hooked" on Reddit but I think the mods deleted it. I thought it was hysterical. Is that really not a good joke to make? I'd say that's the second best bet we have to make sense of this

Imagine being a lifelong BoC fan, and then SIMPING for your beloved government by voraciously approving of war propaganda.

2026 is a strange time to be alive.

I suppose it’s possible and maybe even probable whoever made the clip never needed to explain who BoC were. It’s just a ”stylish military promo” with some moody background music. It’s pretty common for editors to slip in covert pop culture references
