Nah. Says Boards of Canada right thar on the cover.

I mean, technically they ARE also Hell Interface.

I am sure there is overlap.

If you are on about it sounds a bit like that stuff, yeah sure. But no. Its says it right there on the tin? Do you often eat Corn Flakes thinking about if they were actually Cheerios at one point?

How cool would it be if BoC's next release were a Hell Interface EP, or at least a song? If they dropped another Midas Touch, they'd be blowing up dancefloors worldwide

I had a similar thought. BoC were definitely channeling that HI energy on a bunch of these tracks. Sinister, cheeky, groovy. Really good stuff!

We should define what Hell Interface even is. Kind of funny how it’s such a ”thing” for us when they haven’t done barely anything with that alias.

- Disturbing, creepy themes
- Sampling, remixes
- Text-to-speech (Xentrix)
- Techno (Trapped remix)

Yeah by these metrics Father and Son is pretty HI for example

It's the most Hell Interface they've got as BoC I think but it's also a properly worked up track

Hell Interface always seemed to me to be a shitpost project

Not the album but maybe the track on the flexi-hex.

Same, I always got the feeling it was more like their weird troll burner account. I definitely hope we get to see more of that as its great.

Disagree with the title, Inferno is 100% pure uncut BoC.

I typed this elsewhere but, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was supposed to be the first Hell Interface album, and a lot of HI is Mike messing around by himself. And when Warp said no, you can’t release it as HI, it has to be a BOC album, the bros got passive aggressive and slapped the huge yellow font on the front as a personal FU. The whole album reeks of HI, iraq says, blockbuster, whitney houston’s blacked out teeth.

Although it sounds like about half of it is piss taking, and there are a few serious tracks so who knows?

Inferno by Hell Interface. It’s hard not to see any connection to that side project.
