Yeah I was thinking back to those first couple of Bat For Lashes album, she was using a zither on that. Or an autoharp (same thing?) That's built around holding down a chord and it lifts the strings, I think, so you can strum them

Became one of my favorites after repeated listens. This track is dark as fuck, so eerie. It somehow manages to sound holy and occult at the same time and don't get me started on those vocals. Something went horribly wrong.

I can't get this song out of my head nor do I actually want to.

the sampled-speech section kinda kills me,

Wow, those chords from the NFBC movie really do sound present in Blood In The Labyrinth, but in the song they’re played with more choral sounding voices. Amazing discovery.

Quite surprising to find the word "blood" on a BoC track imo.

Into The Labyrinth is an album by Dead Can Dance, checking the wikipedia page for it search for "Blood" and you will come up with a track on said album "The Wind That Shakes the Barley" used by producer 4th Disciple on Killarmy's song "Blood for Blood".

If you take the original song by Dead Can Dance (The Wind That Shakes the Barley) and overlay it onto Blood in the Labyrinth, it fits pretty much perfectly in key, even though the overall song keys do not match. Its only off by a few cents because of the non-standard tuning boc uses.

I live in Greece, and this track inspires me to create a video involving ancient ruins. I don't know it just fits with the music for me.

At least three tracks with blood reference on Inferno;

Pumping blood in Word Became Flesh,
Shedding blood in Capricorn,
Blood in the Labyrinth

Probably ’bloodiest’ BoC to date

Oh and you know it's gonna get bloody in Arena Americanada. Heart monitor in Memory Death, heart beating in I Saw Through Platonia. Even the flies in Acts of Magic could imply blood or at least decay.

And not to forget ‘Bloddy hell!’ = most common expression among BoC fans when hearing Father & Son for the first time, possibly on a blood-coloured vinyl.

Possible sample?

1:00 in "bird noise" though I think it's an instrument (Daniel Landis maybe?), 2:42 in BITL. Song has some eastern drone sounds going on, similar vibe. Michael Brook is amazing, I wish he did more albums like this.
