Meh. For all his (many) faults, he's never struck me as dishonest. He just doesn't really love it. Doesn't hate it either. His loss.

Wonder if he voted? ;-)

Ask the audiophiles who submitted that. It's only their assumption.

Atmos is obsolete already, and those in the know have moved onto Calabi-Yau M-Theory Audio fidelity here...

I think it’s brilliant to get this insight into what people think of it. We’ve already seen some great comments on the forum, of course, but this takes it a step further. I’ve come to know BoC fans as being very critical, so it’s brilliant that the album has been so well received after 13 years. 94% say it meets their expectations!

Almost 1000 respondents!

Thanks for this insight Fredd-E !

My favorite product of the survey is the 500+ unique single word descriptions of Inferno's [insert 500 adjectives] vibe. Well said, everyone! The word nerd in me wants to find and pair all the near matches (chaos/chaotic, liminal/lininal, trip/trippy, witchy/bewitching , otherworldly/
otherwordly, accepting/acceptance, ethereal/aethereal, apocalypse/apolcalyptic (immersive/enveloping?)) ... I had fun with the survey and enjoyed the summary, thanks! The deadline actually helped inspire me to rise from bed straight from a dream for my first headphones listen, pre-dawn Sunday.

I can't even say why but the fact that "use one word to describe inferno" led to answers of ...well "Inferno" amuses me

Also that one guy who was like "there are no real transitions on the record"....did he listen to the same record as us?

I called the album evocative and I don't see it anywhere in that word salad. What a bummer.

Some other people had the same idea. :) But don't take this one I posted above (it's an edit with a magnifying glass). Better the original one linked on my drive.

I’m glad you enjoyed this little experiment! It was fun to put together and has left me wanting more.

ok so just to be clear. there is NOT an available "Dolby Atmos Mix," this is just a term we're using to describe their wide and lush production, right? i really hope i'm wrong. i would love to hear this album in Atmos

Hearing the serpentine reverb trail snake around your head on Hydrogen Helium Lithium Leviathan in quadrophonic sound while on psychedelics would be....god damn, it might break my mind lol

Shame it's so small. That means I'm the only one who thought it was evocative. Thanks BTW.
