if you're in need of a brief break from Inferno, I offer this palate cleanser -- a playlist of old jazz records from the 1950's and 1960's designed for late night listening. I did it myself with a little help from allmusic.com. No AI or algorithms were used.

I forgot to add that because it's a really long playlist with full albums, I recommend hitting the shuffle button.Josh wrote:https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list ... Whza-YDxrR

Honestly believe this is one of the greatest songs ever written - it scratches a very specific itch; not *quite* disco - more of a slowed, dubbed-out chug. That bassline....

re: llydia - that's a 10/10 album for me for sure. though i'm a big big fan of their double EP where all they were really doing was testing out their new studio! tiny dynamine/echoes in a shallow bay
can't drive at sunset without hearing those opening chords in Pink Orange Red popping up in my head

I know right? Its so embedded into my cranium by now that I'm pretty sure I'll be hearing Heaven Or Las Vegas as I see that light at the end of the tunnel. I hope at least, that would be sick.Waterbagel wrote:re: llydia - that's a 10/10 album for me for sure. though i'm a big big fan of their double EP where all they were really doing was testing out their new studio! tiny dynamine/echoes in a shallow bay

These days I only listen to Special Ed, although I am very interested in what Mike D is doing with his new 5D project and where that is going..

It's great weather in the Netherlands, and my love for lounge music is coming back. So at the moment I'm listening to a Café Del Mar chillout 2026 mix.
