What I have attempted to accomplish here is pull five tracks from BoC’s five main LP releases that thematically build from the "ashes" of Inferno. Songs that show some lighthearted optimism and a more ominous side. I have tried to include a mixture of tracks without percussion of any kind and beat heavy tracks as well. Each of the five tracks aren't meant to be my "Top five" from each album but, instead five tracks that I think work together to paint a narrative through each of their releases. Still some tweaking to do, but fun to play around with regardless. Any suggestions or thoughts if you have done something similar?

I actually attempted a similar idea during the hype of the campaign ahead of Inferno's release. The idea was to make a playlist that featured one track from every release (I didn't count Peel Sessions) where each track maintained the track number position from its release of origin. I wasn't really happy with the outcome, but I didn't try very hard either (lol):

2: Chinook (Alternate Version) from the Aquarius single
3: In A Beautiful Place Out In The Country from the eponymous EP
4: June 9th from Hi Scores
5: Under the Coke Sign from Trans Canada Highway

7: '84 Pontiac Dream from The Campfire Headphase
8: Kaini Industries from Music Has The Right To Children
9: Forest Moon from A Few Old Tunes
10: 1969 from Geogaddi
11: Split Your Infinites from Tomorrow's Harvest

Some of this has its origins in exploring if there was anything in common across all BOC tracks that "are track 2," or "are track 6," and so on, if that makes sense, since it's common for track 1 to be an intro track. I didn't dig too deep, but the answer overall seems to be "not really."

Interesting never thought to look at their catalog that way...but I'm not hating the playlist that you formed either. I am sure there are all sorts of ways you could construct playlist of their songs to make something interesting. Recently I even thought about making one that is just tracks with our any percussion of any sorts. Would probably try and keep that one too official releases. Fun to mess around with.
