I am at loss for words. Tim Curry was such a powerful creative. I first got into his work after my mum made such a fuss about him. Only a day after Dolly Partons passing, this is possibly the worst week for me right now. Beyond words. Why is god taking all the angels but none of the devils? Rest in peace queen, thanks for being the first to normalise trans people and a fucking phenomenal actor. I owe a lot to you.

He was very important to me too. His movies were a backdrop to many of my life's most pivotal events. However, I am curious how you come to the conclusion that he normalized trans people. Dr. Frank-N-Furter was a transvestite mad scientist not a trans person. Although the first performer to take up the roll, Garrett Gafford, was a trans person, that speaks more to the diversity of the fandom than anything else. If anything, Dr. Frank-N-Furter and Rocky Horror spoke more to bisexuals and androgynes than anything else. Perhaps not surprisingly, many people seem to forget that trans women like Sulka, Cassandra, and others, and writers and producers like Kim Christy were a part of the Golden Age of Porn and did more to normalize trans people to at least people who were open to the idea.
