stoked on bibio

Post by joshkowski »

Like i said before, mr. stephen is a very warm friendly lad and he said he has his new songs in the making right now. He has some new little excerpts on his page as well as his artist valley records page. He's added a whole lot of foggy beats and much more singing into his songs and its gonna be his best work i believe. listen to " note to self" on his page, i love it. I think stephens timing to come out was executed perfectly. I KNOW boards of canada were itching to step into a bibio-ish direction until bibio straight up happened. We were tripped out to hear a bit of guitar in the campfire headphase...but we always still wonder how BOC would sound with a bit of vocals and guitars? too late suckers, bibio has this shit done and DONE.

Anyway i'd just recommend to bibio fans to check his site regularly, he updates his shit all the time and he welcomly answers good questions about music ( yes even his equipment and what instruments he likes ) and even his sweet photography with his newly found favorite, the holga. New album bending towards a later 2007 release and its suppose to sound way different...while still maintaining a distinct bibioish sound.

god im drunk.

Bibio with foggy, distant percussive accompaniment sounds very exciting indeed. I always loved the track 'It Was Willow' off of 'Fi' in no small part to the fact that it had an awesome, minimalist beat going on behind the guitars.
