A Reprise Of Geogaddi?

Post by YELLOW »

Would anyone be interested in somehow throwing together a mash of geogaddi, i only ask because a good majority of the tracks have main parts backwards or result in interesting melodies when played in a different way, examples include ready lets go, the end of gyroscope, dandelion, some of julie and candy, smallest weird number, diving station, some of alpha and omega, i saw drones, a is to b, over the horizon radar and corsair.

I saw drones and over the horizon radar backwards in my opinion are better than the album versions. THe beginning of a is to b when in reverse also provides my favorite boc melody from any album.

This'd be neat to hear...I've only heard A is to B backwards..I'm sure someone is up to the task. :?

Dandelion backwards was all the rage for a while. You gotta check that one out. All the kids are doing it!

That is a really good idea dude! I found that a ton of material from Geogaddi sounds awesome and sometimes better when played backwards. Good examples are Dandelion and the segemnt you mentioned from A is to B. I actually have a lot of tracks from the album already saved in reversed and listen to them regularily. I have the software to easily do it, but what is it you want exsactly? I can do a complete backwards version of Geogaddi if you like.

I just heard it backwards and it sounded wonderful...not to say its better than the normal way, but pretty nifty nonetheless

Have you listened to any of them reversed? A few of them are clearly suposed to be played backwards to get more music out of one song...

yeah i was thinking we could something like essel did with maxima and make it available on here....keep the same order of tracks but reverse some of the vignettes and some of the parts in the longer, more structured songs that are normally reversed....know what im sayin

I've had a play around here in Ableton..

(320 kbps MP3 - 18:29)

It's a little rough around the edges but I thought it best to show WIP, rather than sit on it until it's completed.....

Any thoughts? Should I keep on going? or give up now ;-)
