Those idents are great. The one on the council estate and the Japanese city are good too.
My assumption when I hear stuff that sounds BOc-ish is that the composer was either influenced by BOC or the director asked for something BOC-like. Maybe they even used BOC as a guide track before getting the composers piece.

I know that they made an R&B album once, I think it was called, "Baby your ass looks like a turquoise hexagon sun, can I stick it in?".
