For sheer melodic joy Poppy Seed (reprise) and for utter brilliance Broken Drum.

Incidently, when people say Poppy Seed, do they mean the reprise or the first part? Having both is fine but I just want to know what they mean.
I like the reprise a little more than the original remix they did only because of the, as you called it, "sheer melodic joy". Beautiful beautiful song. Reminds me of running in fields at 6 years old.

it's a difficult one, I think the Dead Dogs 2 remix is superb, especially compared to the original - there is so many great little sequences and details in there..... However BoC mixed with Becks vocals has got to edge it, especially given the tremendous ending, it just builds up and up with more and more detailed drumming.... fantastic!

I prefer the Poppy Seed remix over the reprise because the flute sounds are so mysterious, when I first heard it, it made my hairs stand up!

really? i would have thought the newer mix is better and a lot more detailed. the old tunes one sounds like they're taking the piss. just my opinion though.

Ha ha yeah, I was just about to mention the Hell Interface version of Trapped as my other favourite remix. Both that and Midas Touch are pure gold. :wink:

Have to agree with this. It's awesome.
I wonder what the Sandison boys would think if they heard some of the really cool remixes that have gone around this board.

EDIT: actually i was thinking of Ciaran's Olson remix, which i think is even better.

Wow, hard to pick one. But here's things I like from a few;

The fatness of the beat in the dirty Great Mable mix

The scariness of Sandsings

but
Broken Drum is just about perfect in every way
