Marijuana has no medicinal uses??

I' was sick since yesterday and the sucky thing about it is that being sick is that it is a vicious cycle. You ingest tons of medicine and vitamins to fight the flu but you have no appetite. Then to make matters worse, since you have no appetite you have an empty stomach and of course meds and vitamins upset an empty stomach. The thing is though, you need to eat to:

1. Sooth your stomach and absorb some of the raw medicine and vitamins in your stomach.

2. Have energy. Your body must have calories to use to fight sickness.

Hence, earlier today I was feeling absolutely, completey rundown, my stomach was sick, and I hardly wanted to move.

But then I smoked some weed.

Half an hour later I went to central market and ate an entire pizza, a caesar salad, and and a smoothie along with some calorie dense crackers I bought (the number 1 ingredient was CREAM, haha).

Then I came home, took some tums and advil since I wasn't naseous anymore, and now I'm feeling great and have energy!

Marijuana is the most powerful anti-naseua and appetite stimulant in the world. I hate propaganda.

Here in Holland medi-weed is finally legalized. This weed is professionally grown and not home-grown. This way the amount of THC is controlled. A lot of people who suffer MS have great benefit by smoking/eating medi-weed.
It's good to see that there are more and more countries that realize the power of Marijuana.

I just had an odd thought...

maybe had the whole hippy movement not been so large in the 60's, perhaps the US government would have legalized it by now... or maybe they would still be selling us a lot of the bullshit propaganda they were way back then. Any thoughts?

I remember seeing a documentary once that said it was made illegal in the US not because it's a drug (they just used that as a excuse) but because a rich, powerful linen or cotton grower lobbied the government to ban it because he though hemp fibre would overtake linen/cotton as the main source of clothing material. Typical US policy of helping big business and fuck everyone else.

Nowadays there's no way a US politician is ever going to suggest it be legalised, for fear of beaing seen as a hippie-loving pinko.

Here in the UK nearly every politician has admitted to using it in the past. And it's still illegal.

Another reason is it was grown a lot in mexico, (at the time of Villa and Zapata's revolution) and much of the revolutionary's fundinding came from selling weed. The US governemnt was shit scared that the revolution would spread, or that they would ride up and attack the parts of the southern US that had been fairly recently conquered from mexico, so they tried to cut the source of funding. Whatever your opinoin of the mexican revolution, it's fucking stupid that remains illegal to this day

The thing that bothers me the most about marijuana being illegal is not the fact that my own ass is on the line when I smoke it, but because of the benefits were could reap from it as a whole. Hemp as a fiber alternative, medicinal purposes, fuel, profits from taxes on it, and, of course, smoking it. It also bothers me that we cannot use it even though it is a naturally occurring plant (as someone already mentioned), yet alcohol and cigarettes are comletely legal. Cigarettes contribute to more deaths than marijuana ever will, but because of Big Tobacco, they will continue to be available as somewhat cheap and effective means of suicide.

that hemp that you're talking about is different from marijuana; but yeah, it's reputation is tainted by being such a close relative to weed.
