I'm still pondering the question, although I agree with Kubrick and Lynch. :D

My friend just let me borrow Mullholland Drive, which I've never seen. People that have seen the film either say it's the worst movie they've ever seen or the best movie they've ever seen. I guess I'll find out soon.

Lynch fans should check out this site i found. search for "the black lodge" and you should find it. it's a crazy twin peaks site that also incorporates a few other of his movies. basically it's a "lynch world" that you walk through and discover. very cool, amazing visual experience if you are into lynch........or darkness.

has anyone been to DavidLynch.com? it's a pay site. it looks like it might be cool, but it seems that it hasn't been updated since before the fall of 04. i was going to join, but it seems there web certificate even expired. i also am a little annoyed that that site can't be free. if it were a young artist or director i'd understand, but paying like a $100 bucks a year for projects David has already done seems welll....a rip off.

Andrei Tarkovsky.

I'm surprised that nobody mentioned Andrei Tarkovsky.

i've only ever seen the original solaris by him. i think the remake was unfairly slated however. films in english or with english subs are not easy to come by where i live. perhaps its torrent time?
