band? as in musical act? well, BoC!!!! favorite vocalist is bjork, and my favorite non electronic band is the police. but i also have a lot of love for led zepplin, rush... wait, you said favorite. ill let you elaborate before i continue.

Maybe Mercury Rev (1st 3 albums), maybe Smog, maybe Joy Division.

Yeah that is tough, but even so I'll try and keep it brief: Kyuss, Pavement, Pantera, qotsa, Down. And lately it's been all about Sunn O))) and Beaver.

Smashing Pumpkins. Billy's guitar tone and sincerity is amazing. It wasn't until I heard Siamese Dream in 9th grade that I was really touched by music and thought it could be more than just mere entertainment.
70% of my cds aren't electronic, but some others BOCCERS might like are of course Radiohead and My Bloody Valentine, but also others like Oceansize, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Failure, These Arms Are Snakes, Cardiacs, Autolux, and the list goes on....

Hmm... it varies a lot. There's kind of a blurry line these days with so many rock bands pulling out the electronics as well. I'm gonna say Rush.

i immediately thought of mogwai. they seem to be able to express quite some emotions without actually being very open about it (seeing their irrelevant songtitles and wit), and they dare to seriously rock. kazaam!

No i do, but there are two or three tracks on it i just can't listen to, so i can't say it's one of my favourites. As nice as it is I definitely think they had lost something by the time that album came out. The sense of barely contained chaos or something. And the LPs since then have been poor.

But then i'm old school - i bought Yerself is Steam the day it came out!

Ah, fair enough. They're all great. Boces can be a bit much sometimes, but See You on the Other Side is a bit of a lost classic.
