Good idea - stick 'em on C90's with hand-scrawled tracklistings
I did that with the BoC-Maxima remake

man it BOC on a tape would give the music a really nice feeling. I really like BOC on vinyl the most it sounds amazing and the vinyl noise adds such a great feeling....

I was going to make my own BoC tape of Boc Maxima cuz I thought you could listen to the full album on LastFm. But I was devastated to find out they only had 30 second clips. :(

tapes are shit.

every time you play them they get worse.

if you want the "tape" sound just re-rip your mp3s at about 6kbs that should do the trick, and every so often delete them so that you can re-live the experience of them getting chewed.

are you telling me that if you had the choice of buying music on CD, Vinyl, or Tape, you would choose tapes!?!?!?

jesus!

god. With BoC isn't weird sound quality a good thing? Geogaddi definetly needs it. Its too crisp.

I can see both sides of this arguement. I think the reason that tape appeals is it's nostalgic quality - I grew up taping stuff off the radio, spending ages hovering by the pause button, then listening to it to death, then taping over it etc etc, so the sound quality got all muddy and chewed up. The cassette player in my first car was AWFUL - it ate cassettes, but because I spent ages driving around - and loving it - it's got a kind of nostalgic appeal. I think my copy of Cornershop's "When I was Born for the 7th Time" was unlistenable by the time I lost the car, but it's associated with great memories. That's why people around my age (mid-late 20's) are attached to tapes. My first attempts at sound editing involved cassettes and lots of sellotape.

Anyway - enough rambling - I've got an assignment to write...
