i cant miss an episode. it took 5 years to make...

Indeed. HD for the win! I've only watched one full episode so far (Desert) and about half of "Ice Worlds" and I think we only have one other TIVO'd (not sure when they're regularly on).

I just can't get over all those long drawn out shots of a solitary creature all alone in its environment.

Really makes me want to give up everything.

I'll have to check this out. I love documentaries. Discovery and Animal Planet are about all I watch on TV these days (with the exception of Jon Stewart and The Office).

I've been wanting to get a boxset of Jeac Cousteau's documentaries as well. I'm told that the Life Aquatic parodies some elements of his films and life.

It's nice. Have you guys seen "Long Way Round" with Charlie Boorman and Ewan MacGregor? One of the best adventure doc's out there! If you're in the states go to amazon.ca and pick up the Canadian version, it has 2 extra episodes and much better artwork.

I personally like the Japanese version with the bonus track.
