Incidentally, I've never heard that track before but I have nearly everything they's done apart from some hard to obtain early stuff. Can you let me know the name of the track please?

New Boards Of Canada video!!!

Hehe! Hi steve-o.
Yeah, it's a movie that's very dear to my heart too. I saw it as a kid in about '76. It was on really late and I really should have been in bed for school the next day. The guy introducing it on TV gave a warning about flashing lights in the film and them let it roll. I was all on my own in the dark watching it on the top floor of a house full of hippies (well, maybe not ALL hippies). Anyway, it's a really deep, beautiful film isn't it? It fills me with such warmth.
Anyway, that house, my brother and I lived with my mum there. Two rooms man. A kitchen and a bedroom. We had to have a little bedroom made especially for us to make it into 3 rooms. A hardwood panel was used to section off a little bedroom for us with a little entrance. So cool! We used to lie in there in the dark singing nursery rhymes and stuff. I remember we had torches too because we had no lamp or other light in there. I also remember first thinking about the infinity of the universe and time in that room. I was about 7 which makes me a few years older than the BOC guys. It was a wonderful time.
I guess that's why I love Boards so much, the whole 70's vibe. I remember those Film Boards of Canada films too. I also remember a great Canadian film called The Christmas Martian, it was amazing to me back then, I loved it. This Martian came down to Canada in the winter. There was lots of snow around and a couple of kids befriended him. When he took them into his ship it was full of sweets (I think they were Smarties or something similar), it was awesome! In fact I've just discovered via Google that it was made in '71. I saw it about '75-'76.

because the megaupload page says this: "All download slots (400) assigned to your country (Mexico) are in use.

but internet its not a country, i think it`s not fear, maybe mexico its not a super country but still its a good country with good people, anyway, do you know another page where i can download the video, I really want to see it

wicked video, and the tune was new to me as well.....would love to see it straight from the master...the scenery was abused by all the compression 
a BOC vid is something I want to put together as well, but your vid makes me feel I need to shoot with film vs. dv. its that whole analog thing...what did you shoot on?

The film behind Archrival's macquarie ridge is Michelangelo Antonioni's "Zabriskie Point". Made
in 1969 and released in 1970 as Antonioni's most expensive film. The film was panned and considered Antonioni's worse to date for many reasons, some of which I agree with, but was quickly forgotton about.
Easy Rider had set a precedent for films of that subject matter, and lets face it, Antonioni wasn't a hippie.
The film has since had a strange cult following beginning when director Stephane Sednaoui referenced
the desert orgy scene for his Smashing Pumpkins video "today" in 1993. The film is current unavailable
on DVD for whatever reason, but nevertheless I had a friend rip the movie off TCM years ago and put it
on DVD for me. The film is probably my least favorite of his, but some of the imagery in the
film is unparrelled even by today's standards. The music in the film is even
better than Boards of canada if you can believe that.
The film stock Antonioni used for "Zabriskie Point" was a Kodachrome 5274 35mm reversal film, I believe.
I've researched a lot of films from that decade and diagnosed the stock number and what not (especially the
counterculture films of that era)
I've even written the Criterion Collection a proposed a Zabriskie Point transfer!
