That cd is Neutral Milk Hotel - Aeroplane Flies Over The Sea
It's quite an interesting listen and has grown increasingly popular over the years. I would actually say it is to indie rock what MHTRTC is to electronic.

I can't pick a favorite. Here are a few:
This was a record cover that I remember seeing as a kid that just never left me:
This is just SO Aphex. And it's exactly how I picture Richard as he's finishing a track like "Cornmouth"
I've always liked this record cover, because, I mean, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?

Yeah it's Neutral Milk Hotel's 'Aeroplane Flies Over The Sea'. Not a big NMH fan but I do like that album.
Few more -
Sigur Rós - Agaetis Byrjum
Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures
Current 93 - Black Ships Ate The Sky

That's really the only Radiohead album I'd put on these days. A friend of mine is a big fan of Hail To The Thief, maybe he can hear something I can't, I don't know.
I find it amusing when Radiohead fans go on about the band pushing barriers and being pioneers with electronic music, but when you mention Autechre or BoC to them they go "who?".

Spinal Tap - Intravenus De Milo
Depeche Mode - A Broken Frame
Frank Zappa And The Mothers Of Invention - Weasels Ripped My Flesh
Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
There's way to many cool album covers out there. These were just off the top of my head.
