Hooper Bay

sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but if there is an answer, i haven't found it yet. now i know it cant be real, but i downloaded "hooper bay." one immediate problem is that the song lengths don't correspond with what is on the boc pages.

so heres my question, if these songs aren't really hooper bay, what are they? they arent on either a few old tunes or old tunes volume 2. they aren't on boc maxima and they definitely arent on anything thats been released.

i heard someone over at WATMM say something about the songs being Mum. is this true? i have one Mum album (finally we are no one) and i wasn't too blown away... could this be bits of their first album? here are the song lengths, maybe some of you guys have gotten these same files. im just curious if anyone knows what they are, because i quite like the music.

Yeah, I think we've all downloaded that version before. I'm personally not sure who did that one... or even the other one with the appropriate song lengths, honestly, but it's definitely NOT BOC. I'm sure someone here might know though. I don't keep up on the fakes to much.

I havent heard the fakes, but I remember someone saying that they were a chopped version of Yesterday was dramatic, today is OK by Múm, which you should check out by the way... i prefer it to finally we are no-one. I like that too though.

I reckon it that once somone finds a real copy, I'll hear about it... till then I've got soooo much other music to get through that i can't be bothered wading through hundred of fakes

its from 'Space is the place', quite possibly the most sampleworthy film ever. My av is also a still from that film (I made a space is the place-themed dj mix for a friend's birthday around the time i switched my signature & avatar

I wonder who starts these fake tracks? I've heard two versions of Rodox Video with the melody staying the same, but a variation in each track.

It's from the BBC show "Look around you". It was hosted somewhere on the internet.

Except for the first one. Someone from the yahoo group made that, I think.

picked up yesterday was dramatic. i really like it actually. then i put in their second album and thats grown on me as well. i think listening to the first one helped me with that. also, i found the hooper bay samples, and they are pretty great. where did these originally come from?

My favorites are the fake seward leaf and fake noatak. both awesome songs IMO.

one of the two seward leafs ive heard is awesome. its got one very warbly synth line. its SO boc sounding... how can it not be them?
