BoC's Website

Post by volante »

BoC's website is messed up now. When I click on the pictures tab, the page is blank save for the letters 06f and 06m. Maybe it's my browser or slow connection.

Work's fine to me too. I think some people have had some problems because of their browser though. I know the site hasn't changed for a few months though. I have something set up, so that if anything changes on the BoC site, I am immediatly emailed haha.

Hmmm. Mixed opinion from me on this really. It's frustrating sometimes because of the lack of news. On the other hand, it's all part of the whole BOC aura, don't you feel? Makes things seem more special and significant when they DO announce or release something.

If we were swamped with the monthly BOC interview, constant video rotation on MTV, the support slot with the Foo Fighters that they mentioned once upon a time (WTF!?!?), the Geogaddi coffee cup..... I don't know. Maybe I'm just being romantic about it, but I quite like these quiet times. Gives things a certain "edge".

Yeah, kind of. I just like the fact they DON'T feel the need to release music/news/stuff for the sake of it. More em more special in a strange way.

IDM as whole seems to put out less records per year than back in the day.

Mind you, I for one never really considred BoC IDM... but you get what i mean. Warp seems to be releasing more and more guitar band music and other labels are finding niches like dubstep, acid, electro revival or whatever. Its pigeonholing, exactly what a no-boundaries genre like IDM needs to avoid.

Very curious as to what teh boards will do next...

Agreed. As an aside, I've never been comfortable with the IDM tag generally.
