I was turned onto the mystical properties of 23 by Tool, who included a song called "Viginti Tres" and had a 23 minute song. Then there was "The Number 23" which was kind of crap, and then me and my friends started to realize how much 23 occured in like EVERYTHING!

Then I bought Geogaddi in the peak of my 23 craze and I was like HOLY SHIT there 23 tracks on this album! AND THE 23 TRACK IS JUST SILENCE! (fetal position)

Then I payed more attention to aquarius....the number sequence....
sixty-ten
six
seven
fifty-six
sixty-five
fourty-four
fifty-three
fourty-four
seventeen
thirteen
twenty-three. <==========23!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess BoC just added the 23 to Geogaddi to add yet another occult reference...

Any other examples?

Jim Carrey trying to be scary was just dumb.

The best bit was when the girl behind me screamed at just about everything, and all the jokes about 23 I made with all my intelligent friends for the next few days.

Oh yeah, and 23 is repeated in Aquarius v3. But it's probably only there in t he first place because it occured in their sample source, not because they wanted it to be there.

By the way, I see it's the eleventh number. If you add 1 and 1 you get two. If you add eleven and eleven you get 22... and if you, like, add two...! .. oh, wait, shit.

I am now 18. Whn I was 5 I was in the hospital for kidney problems.

18+5= 23

hahahaha... yeah, it does get pretty old. there must be hundreds of threads relating to this further back in the archives. but whether jim carey ruined it or not, it cannot be denied as something that re-occurs again and again. for instance, the fact that the word 'W' is the 23rd letter in the alphabet is obvious, but if you look closely you'll notice that it is represented 2 points directing down, and 3 up. boc also mentioned that when they were in the studio making geogaddi, 9/11 happened; which took them on a much darker route musically. the attacks happened on 9/11/2001 - 9+11+2+1=23. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..... SHHHHHHHHHPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.

There is some famous occult conspiracy hippy book called the illuminati that goes on about the magical signifigance of the number 23. I heard The KLF were inspired by this book but I have never read it.

as was i. but, alas, now i am 24. the prophecy was unfulfilled, or so it seems. yeah, boc have mentioned 'the illuminatus trilogy' on a few occasions. it supposed to be a fairly complex read from what i've heard.
