Original Poetry Thread
Post your Prose here! I'll start.
Harmony:
I'm feeling like
like it all belongs
Just wait then
No questions
Don't meddle with it
If I thought I could be
in dischord
all the time
I guess was wrong
Now When will it fade away?
I know its just
this fleeting harmony
soothing me
Do I want this?
I have a small feeling
I'll pay for this peace
Just wait then
These hunger pains
soothing me
How strange
and now
I have a need
to embrace and love
all I worked so hard
to destroy
Today I want to fix
Tomorrow it might be gone
But what a nice day nevertheless
Come, friend
Come here
and be infected
by my disease

Black then White are all I see in my infancy...Red and Yellow then came to me, reachin' out to me, lets me see...

Waste
I sit.
A cold hard surface.
I clench.
Relax, let it go.
Full Force.
Let it come out.
Sliding into it's great unknown.
Instant smell.
Of something from the past.
I clench.
Relax.
I read.
I grab a sheet of softness.
Erase the mark of It's stench.
I do this a few times.
I reach back and pull it's fate.
Down it goes to join the others.
It's gone.
But it's memory lives on in the air.
For a short while.
I sit.
A cold hard surface.
I clench.
Relax, let it go.
Full Force.
Let it come out.
Sliding into it's great unknown.
Instant smell.
Of something from the past.
I clench.

where we were
top of sunshine peak
rays staring down into our eyes
throwing our backpacks over
i climbed a tree
to touch the sky
you screamed for me to get down
as echos of waves cheered me on
the horizon shimmered and pulled me away
you took a breath as i took my life
holding me
forever in your lungs
as i hold you
forever from above
top of sunshine peak
rays staring down into our eyes
throwing our backpacks over
i climbed a tree
to touch the sky
you screamed for me to get down
as echos of waves cheered me on
the horizon shimmered and pulled me away
you took a breath as i took my life
holding me
forever in your lungs
as i hold you
forever from above

Like frost settling on a clear morning
Clinging to each blade of grass
The wind exists to tell a story
Of a thousand winters passed
If you listen hard enough, you can hear it.
Everything Ive been aching to show you
Lies in the puddle of melted ice
And everything Ive longed to hear you say
Is nothing more than silence after the storm
Like birds fleeing north for winter
I shy away every time you change
Looking always past the sky
Across every mountain range.
If you watch carefully enough, you can see it.
Every crack where I fell to pieces in your arms
The thin ice, and blue skin, when I fell through.
If you run far enough, youll escape it
The snowfall that longs to bury us alive
Like footprints left amongst soggy leaves
Swept underfoot, forgotten, lost
Bleak black branches break promises, loosen their grip
While grey corpses fall on broken trust
If you die slowly enough, you can feel it
The icy nights and deep, mournful mornings
The unbreakable silence that surrounds us.
If you dig deep enough, youll uncover it
Every secret iced over in waiting for spring
Like breath condensing in front of my eyes
I cant hold you hard enough to stop you slipping away
And as the sun draws the curtains on a dying romance
I fold up in waiting for the hope of a new day.
If you try hard enough, you can lose it.
Turn the living to ghosts on a misty winters eve.
And squeeze the blood from this wishful heart.
If you think long enough, youll realise.
Years pass so fast.
And I wont last forever.
Like chances flying by on the tail of the wind,
Take it while you can.
seems to fit in with the contemporary 'emo' trend which is floating around in this poetry thread...!x

fire... burning... agony...
sultry shivers of a dark essence
why am i tortured with this nihilistic existence?
bitter... darkness... despair.
notice the constant lower case? i added that touch to be unique. unique people type in lower case.

dudes, this one won a competition when I was about seven or something !!!! -
Two people in the house,
Me and my violent brother,
Hiting me for nothing,
Calling me names like - Idiot,
turp*, sad stupid lunatic,
My blood temper rises,
I get as angry as anything,
I make a cold cup of tea,
I spill it on his trousers,
He goes to get changed,
Then,
He drives away,
Leaving me in the dark,
All cold in winter.
*I think I meant twerp, or turd, not too sure...
