The whole situation after awhile flung off into this strange transcendent psychedelic sequence...all because I had learned BoC's secret.
Yeah I was thinking that too!boardsofdublin wrote:Vordhosbn wrote:I had a dream a long time ago where somehow, in a blaze of faulty dream logic brilliance, I'd come to realize that the members of Boards of Canada were actually a group of houseflies. LOL that made me laugh. excellent dream! bumblebee was Christ.
I hear ya loud and clear man! That stuff is harder than hell to remember!saturdayindex wrote:Last year, I took a nap, and I had a dream... a simply auditory dream. Devoid of images or occurrences, I could only hear. But what I heard was the most beautiful music I have ever heard. I slowly began to come to, and I knew that I must do everything within my ability to remember that music, but I couldn't... it faded... Dammit!
I would love a dream-vcr!locustlx wrote:And if you don't agree to this, you can't use the dream VCR.

Is that a good book?locustlx wrote:hey I've been reading this book by Chuck Klosterman called Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs: A Low Culture Manifesto and in it there are 23 Questions You Should Ask Everybody You Meet and this one question seems to apply to this thread so yeah answer if you like
At long last, someone invents "the dream VCR." This machine allows you to tape an entire evening's worth of your own dreams, which you can then watch at your leisure. However, the inventor of the dream VCR will only allow you to use this device of you agree to a strange caveat: When you watch your dreams, you must do so with your family and your closest friends in the same room. They get to watch your dreams along with you. And if you don't agree to this, you can't use the dream VCR.

well i'm a sucker for anything chuck's been writing, but yeah it makes for a pretty good bathroom read, the whole book are various rants about certain pop culture items (such as mtv,and the like) my personal favorite essay is Every Dog Must Have His Every Day, Every Drunk Must Have His Drink which is all about David Bowie but if you like someone who points out pop culture for what it is really worth then you'll love this booksaturdayindex wrote:Is that a good book?locustlx wrote:hey I've been reading this book by Chuck Klosterman called Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs: A Low Culture Manifesto and in it there are 23 Questions You Should Ask Everybody You Meet and this one question seems to apply to this thread so yeah answer if you like

i love those dreams, and the same exact thing happened every time for me except for once last year. i was playing like some sort of piano where the keys were rounded on top and the 'white' keys were blue and the 'black' keys were green. I was playing with amazing fluency and I had the most beautiful harmony, and I was kind of lucid, so as I was playing i would just yell the chords out as loud as i could. I had no idea what i was playing, but in the dream i just 'knew' (i'm sure you know what i'm talking about) what the chords were. Amazingly, I remembered the chords when I woke up, I played it on my guitar. . . and it was nothing special. it was kind of disappointing.saturdayindex wrote:Last year, I took a nap, and I had a dream... a simply auditory dream. you're making sense, I get that sometimes too. Sometimes I'll kinda daze out, but not really and have like a flashback from when I was about 2-3 years old. It's awesome, I love every second of it.bleak. wrote:i have been going through a phase recently...where, well...i can remember certain dreams from years back. that i'm doing a certain something, be it cycling, walking, lying in bed...yet at the back of my mind, a dream is playing like a film...i'm fully aware of my surrounding and reality, yet i'm also able to see the dream at the same time. and the fact that i can see the dream affects the way i see reality...
i don't think i'm making much sense...zzz
