one flew over the cuckoo's nest..one of the best books/movies ever. amazing character development, plot, everything. changed my life.

made me realize that i shouldnt really let myself get stuck at places, shouldnt be scared of authority, should do what i feel like doing and not worry too much about consequences. it wasnt completely life-altering, but it gave me some insight on how to improve my life.

I know what you mean, but I never had that with OFOTCN.

I think I had that philosophy all my life, it just had to...wake up. Allot of media and people are trying to make you a slave to society...don't let that happen.

yet we are all partially influenced by the media in some shape or form. you recently posted a thread based on CCTV, ID tags and whatnot. you then stated that the source of information was obtained via the bbc news itself...

OFOTCN is a great book, although not personally life changing. x

It may not have been personally life changing, but from what I understand that book (as well as the movie) brought about a massive change in the way that mental health is approached. I think it helped a lot of mental health professionals to get their heads out of textbooks and start treating patients like humans instead of 'subjects'- to a positive effect, I think.
