Well I remember this logo being on their site for a long time, I know that James from Atomless made the site, but for that logo to be on their website, seems like it was cool enough for BoC to except it as a logo on the site. So yeah it might be fan made by Atomless but BoC saw it and took it as their own for the website,..... for a little while at least...

if their next thirty records were complete shit (which in itself is in the eye of the beholder) it wouldnt matter because their first few were life changing and magical. boards of canada changed my life. they have been one of the major artistic and psychedelic upward spiraling factors in my life thus far, and for that they will never lose their value. a few years ago i was sure i was about to get a smashing pumpkins tattoo, as at the time in my life (particularly mellon collie) they were pushing me through a deeply personal artistic revolution within myself. i never got the tattoo, and now i listen to them a whole lot less. i have new and different artistic acts and bands that have taken their place of immediate importance, but their orginal value within my soul will never change. in these current days they mean something different to me, but ill always remember what they did mean (and what they perhaps will always truly mean to me), and for that i really wish i had a little peice of their representative art preserved on my body, to forever bring me back to that time of beauty in my life. moral of the story is, if you are going through a beautiful and important era of your existence (and everyone always is i guess), and you are inspired to get a tattoo (if youre into that) then dont think too hard about the future! get that shit and youll be happy you did. no matter what changes youll have engraved a piece of your life's era on your personal canvas. you only are alive one time (i think?) and you could be gone at any time. life is too short and magical to worry about how other people are going to judge you before they know you (personally i feel as if the kind of people who would judge me before they know me at all are the exact people that would probably be best to stay away from in the first place). the past is dead and the future is imaginary! happiness can only be in the eternal now moment!

No, I'm just saying- there was a time in my life when I would have SWORN by DJ Shadow- but you know, interests change, you find new artists, new things resonate with you, and while I love BoC with all my heart (even six years after having discovered them) I just wouldn't get a tattoo because I know how things change. That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying BoC's music is not worth it.

I was under the impression the tri-hex logo was legit. Then someone said it was a fan logo. Then Polar Sky showed it was from the Atomless (Trails) site... kinda threw me.

The logo is "semi-legit"... I really digress...

i was a huge radiohead fan for years, i never considered getting a tattoo though.

i would prehaps get a simple bold hexagon as my devoted love for boards of canada...i think a simple design such as this would be far more appealing that something complex..x

and variations of it (only those white-yellow parts for example, that the most common i've seen).

Oh, and lest I be misunderstood, I still absolutely love Shadow. It's just the religious fervor that would lead me to get a tattoo is not there. He's amazing live, btw. Just saw him in April. If he comes to your town, DO NOT MISS IT.

i remember emailing the guy who made this for boc, he made their web site, but i cant remember which site it was as it was two years ago for TCHP. he said he made this one and 3 others, he said if he made anymore he would send them on to me but he never made anymore.
