Hey, Im new and just wanted to say Hi

Post by WhiteFluff »

Hey, I just found this site and just joined, since about 6 months ago Boards of Canada is my favoirte "band" and now my second favorite is my bloody valentine. Anyways i also loved APhex Twin, Dj Shadow, and Massive Attack. i am totally now into electronic music and always will be. I have a lot of boards of canda and I am also missing alot. right now i have MHTRTC, Campfire Headphase, Geogaddi, High Scores, Trans Canada highway, Disengage Side A and B, and Live in Sussex. I have had to download most of the EPs because I live in America and I haven't found anything but the normal albums in stores and most of the time it was hard to come by those. I have eMule, but where else can I look to find it all?

Welcome to the board WhiteFluff.

A lot of their stuff is widely available in online stores.. only the pre-Twoism isn't.

I've found Twoism in local record stores before.

Hi Scores is a bit of a rarity these days in stores I've found, but I did see a copy one time at Virgin Megastore, so you never know.

If you want to pick them up in one fell swoop, I bet you can grab all of them on CD at Amazon (and probably for cheap if you go used)

Vinyl... that's a different story - unfortunately.

Edit: What city do you live in? There are people in this board from all over America who might be able to give you a tip as to where you might find it if you want to buy locally.

OH, and welcome. :D

I now live in Indianapolis, IN. Does anyone else live around here and not even to tell me where Boards of Canada Albums can be located but maybe to chill. I just moved from St. louis, MO and I am starting my college experience at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). I haven't met but one BOC fan and I work with him but he is 26 and no longer subjects himself to hallucinating drugs, not to say that because of that he is a bad guy but he is 7 yrs. older than me and usually spends his time in bars. So anyone from Indianapolis or the surrounding area here? or let alone, Indiana?

That must have been awesome, lucky guy. I know what you mean...I'm from upstate NY, I don't know anyone around here anymore who likes to trip and listen to BoC.
