Is it bad...to be homeless?
So, I've been thinking (nothing to serious tho) about following my uncle Dick's footsteps, witch is...being homeless, and hitchhicking/bike riding across the world with nothing but a chess-board and a tuxido. (except for me, maybe an 8-track and portable instruments....and a chess-board)
He was, so to say...a bum...
BUT, not a bum that sits in a corner begging for money. No no no no...a bum that was free of society, money and everything. He used to tell me the wildest story's about the mayor of my home-town and jobs as a painter, and I alway's thought they where fiction (think...big fish) untill I had a good talk with my mother about her Uncle. And she told me all these stories where real.
Rip Uncle Dick
But seriously, would that be a bad way of living?

FUCK!
Ok, well, turns out, if you leave your post sitting for too long, you lose the info.
I just typed a drunken rant and lost it.
To summarize, don't be a bum unless you accept full responsibility.
I won't put a quarter in your hand.
Traveling, despite all loopholes, will require some funds.
Good luck.

I think it's great and I would love to do it. Differently though.
Like, in this world, one of the things you have to do to survive (unfortunately) is make money. So, I want to make money ONLY doing something I love (music in any way shape or form) and then take what I earn and explore the world.
None of this settling into mind numbing suburbia and competing with "the Robinsons'" next door bullshit for me. Fuck the american dream to a bloody pulp.

needing money to travel is bullshit. sorry, but true. all you need is spirit and will. not to sound too inspirational anarchist (though i believe thats a very good thing), but you can do whatever the fuck you want to. yeah the world has changed/is always changing (some would say for the worse) but humans will never loose what makes them human and alive. yes some money will do nothing but make your journey easier/more comfortable, but who says thats always a good thing? think about what kind of unbelievebly beautiful and interesting experiences and adventure youll find yourself in along a fullscale journey of unplanned proportions! youll meet people youll never forget, while constantly growing and changing and flowering at a rate you never thought possible in modern society! there will be plenty of hard times and some downright terrible ones, but with a strong, confident mind and spirit even these will immediately become great and powerful experiences that yield all the more knowledge and self-fulfillment. youre young and able, if youre willing, dont waste your existence doing something you dont feel is fully nurturing your body mind and spirit. i know the unknown and unplanned seems scary and even downright terrifying sometimes, but youve got nothing to lose and absolutely everything to gain.

but no, i don't think it's bad to be homeless if you can rock it. if it kills you, then yeah, it was a bad choice. but beyond that, whatever floats your boat son!
me, i like sitting in a fold-out in my driveway with shades and a beer, gawking detachedly at everything that goes by, thinking bout...Romans, and music, and law, and plants and stuff.

I'm going to wait a couple of years, as I'm afread this is only puberty talking (just 18 years old)...
but if I still feel the same way as I feel now...
I'll do it...
but its a hard choice...a scary one...
