My personal favourite 'Sentinel' is on this side. We wrote that and 'Bipolar' at the same time.

the melody in bi polar kind of reminds me of second peng by ae. nice and spacious. side 2 sounds promising so far..

Interesting. I can see what you mean about the Second Peng similarity. It's something in the note phrasing. 100% accidental and coincidental. Andy wrote that part and I don't think he's ever heard Anvil Vapre.

Firem and Middlesex Beach are gems.
I am also really enjoying Somewhere Becoming Rain. I've always loved songs that were about rain, or the ocean...

Speaking of which.. there will be a game coming out on Nintendo Wii called Endless Ocean. A beautiful game, with some obnoxious music. BUT it's okay because you can upload your own music files.

That song of yours will be on my copy of the game.

I have DL'ed both your EP (Stay At Home) as well as both sides of Protect & Serve and I've ben listening to the music over and over - I think it's brilliant! In my opinion it holds its own against any of the "established" artists out there.

My favorite tracks are: Firem, Nevada, Bipolar, Middlesex Beach (this is my top favorite) and Doppler - but they are all excellent.

Listening to Redpoint got me interested in discovering the music of other members on this forum. I searched but did not find a topic devoted to this (perhaps I missed it?), however I did download "One Of Twoism" and it was great, although it only featured a limited amount of artists. So next I went to the members list and thought about going down the list and visiting each member's website. This seemed a bit tedious as some of the links are outdated, and may perhaps not actually link directly to the member's music.

So, if there is not a topic devoted to members' music should we start one?

Thanks guys. It's very pleasing for us to get opinions beyond the 'sounds a bit like boards of canada' responses we often get.

I'm especially happy that it's different tracks that connect with different people. Andy and I have quite different favourites to each other.

That's so cool that you're checking out all the other artists on here. I'd list all the ones that I can think of but I'd be sure to forget someone, and I wouldn't want anyone to feel left out. I don't think I've downloaded anything disappointing yet, and some have gone on to be amongst my most listened to recordings of the past couple of years.

Great idea about making a thread (sticky perhaps) listing each Twoism member's download links/myspace pages.

Now that I think of it, Middlesex Beach almost has a Deus Ex feel to it. Ever play Deus Ex?

I think both Andy and I played Deus Ex when it came out. Can't remember the music at all though. Given my current gaming habits, the next album will have a strong Bioshock theme.

That's sad; DX had quite a good soundtrack.

BTW, after further listening, I've got Middlesex Beach stuck in my head. Congrats on a great song and album.

ive really enjoyed this. thank muchly, mate! its this and epic45 on repeat for me over the last little while. really dig the bipolar tune.
