Message from their Myspace site today:

"adam is currently trying to book a european tour for end of november/december(for the first time in 6 years) in the following countries. belgium, holland, germany, scandinavia, united kingdom, france, spain, italy, switzerland, austria. if you live in europe and know interested promoters please contact him. dustbreeder@gmail.com

there is a tour of north america being planned for april 2008. and if you know interested promoters please contact seth@nicodemusagency.com"

Short of BOC touring, this would just about make my year!

they have confirmed the venue for my town in Ireland. Getting tickets today

The promoter has said that they are going to keep the ticket sales low to keep it intimate. Makes sense considering the fragility of SotL sound. Anyone seen them live before? Is their live stuff faithfull to the records or do they kick things up a bit?

the venue in my town is small and intimate, im just hoping they get u here as i usually see Massachusetts as the farthest bands travel

Never seen them live, but I've heard plenty of live recordings and they sound fantastic. Read an old interview recently where they discussed playing live and admitted they find it hard to reproduce all their studio sound live because they prefer to avoid using computers in a live setting - preferring to actually "play" as much as possible themselves. Also, I notice they are looking for a string quartet to join them live too, which sounds quite exciting. Really, really looking forward to the London gig.

Thanks for that mate. Sounds fookin lush. Doubt if they would get a string quartet for Cork as the ticket allocation is going to be about 135, which would hardly cover the costs for additional musicians - but you never know.

Bumpin this cause I'm getting well excited for their gig.

Turns out that they will have a trio of classical musicians according to the guy in the ticket shop. Givin their CD's heavy rotation. Anyone who hasnt heard 'and Theri Refinement of the Decline' should definately check it out. By the way, just saw that the Dublin gig has Ulrich Schnauss in support!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone caught any of the dates yet? Info seems thin on the ground so far although I saw one comment about Bristol being amazing.

Just in from the Cork gig. Enjoyed it, but make sure you go with people who are into repetitive, minimalist cycles, as some of my mates were not to pushed on them and were bored. I have my own views on the show and will gladly air them once you have seen them play. Dont want to plant my opinion before you see them. Enjoy.

OK - so I saw them last night in London. I had kind of built it up in my head that it wasn't going to be all that great. I mean, how could they ever reproduce that sound live? Right? RIGHT?!?

They not only pulled it off, they did the impossible. They sound even BETTER live (imo). From the moment they started up Mullholland the whole room just shook and reverberated like an oil tanker had ploughed into the front of the building. Seriously, the sound - even in a tiny venue like Luminaire - it was just immense. The string trio worked really well, as did the projections from from the amazing Luke Savisky.

Managed to record some snippets which sound surprisingly good too. Did record some video but frankly it was too dark to really do it justice.

Seriously, I just feel privileged to have been there. Trust me, it was incredible. Oh, and I did the teen-fanboy thing and bought a SOTL T-Shirt too. Lovely.

i planned to go to that gig with my best friend...for some reason, i decided not to buy a ticket...and, well...yes, my loss!
