I had a thought. if BoC somehow actually hid eeriness even more substantial yet even more SUBTLE than Geogaddi in The Campfire Headphase, and had us all duped into thinking it was just a simple smiley-times scratchy sounding 70's acid record the whole time, then A) they'd be supergeniuses and B) Campfire would actually wind up being MORE clever a work than Geogaddi overall.

I would be blown out of my slippers if this were true. Socks, if I were wearing them.

When I found that thing at the end I was really startled, because I really did not expect to hear it. Any other thoughts about that, or maybe headphase in general?

to me this album is the most distanced from yesterday feeling thing ever...its almost too sad to sit through..its so far gone..its almost like a final goodbye...the melodies are so "i cant believe that time is going by so fast, we need to capture this feeling and try our hardest to not shed a tear about losing yesterday" ive ever heard..think about it.

by the end of the album you feel like youve lived your life already and that you've done everything there was to do...its as obligatory as a car ride to a dying relatives house...

this sounds pretty similar to what BoC themselves said about the album. they mentioned in an interview, something about it being an attempt to try to capture this sensation of looking back over a summer or some stretch of time and summing it all up and feeling pretty worn out and overwhelmed by the whole thing. i'm paraphrasing wildly but i think they get at that sentiment.

That's really insightful, nail hit on a head I didn't even realise was there. There's this intangible, introspective aching at the heart of this record- something I found really difficult to put my finger on. well said.

First result from a Google search:
"QFT", internet slang usually meaning "quoted for truth".

I also agree with hills west.
"It'd be funny if it wasn't true," Marcus chuckles.
