Today I have heard a few times the las album of Radiohead and I like it. Im surprised by the album cuz reminds me some of Boc songs. Seem All I need sounds like ROYGBIV, and the last song Videotape evocate Melissa juice or Constants are Changing. For me Thom has influenced a lot by Boc, it's the reason of the three last Radiohead works are more electronic & melodic.

The site is crashing on me. I bet they're having crazy high volume today. I'm, uh, getting it, through, uh, other means.Mexicola wrote:What problem you having? Did you apply for a code through the website?thedisavowed wrote:I had a similar problem. You need to go to inrainbows.com
But I'm still having trouble getting it to work.
Damn.
I want to hear this thing.

Initial thoughts on first listen:
If there's BoC influence here, it's pretty vague. I mean I know the fat synth on "All I Need" is a bit reminiscent of Roygbiv, but even then it's pretty unrelated in my book outside of just the raw sound, if that makes sense.
No, rather than IDM, I see suggestions of R&B and even sometimes latent 60's psychedelia. But if there was a word I would use to describe this record, it would be restraint. They never seem to quite give into any particular genre... it's all very much Radiohead. And good Radiohead at that.
I love it. "House of Cards" is my fav at the moment.

That would be great!Mexicola wrote:I'm 99% certain I have it somewhere. If I find it I'll post it up...domco77 wrote:I remember that article. Been trying to track down the original, think it may have been an issue of Q magazine. That list of influences definitely got me into BOC.Mexicola wrote:Radiohead are actually how I first heard of BOC. Read a piece back in 2000 about Kid A (just before it came out) and the influences that may have inspired them. Don't recall which track it was now, but BOC were sited as an influence after Thom Yorke bought the ENTIRE Warp back catalogue sometime after OK Computer.
Yeah new Radiohead. Awesome...love the nod to BOC with the kids shouting on 15 Step.

that song play similar main percussion sound used in "pete standing alone", listen to "15 step" around minute 2:36... I think that Boc inspired Thom a lot.domco77 wrote:That would be great!Mexicola wrote:I'm 99% certain I have it somewhere. If I find it I'll post it up...domco77 wrote: I remember that article.
