that's interesting. i think it has to do with personal experience too. see, i feel like i rarely have a good time at all with weed. it really depends on who i'm with, but for the most part it seems like nothing really happens. then i end up feeling very secluded and having that record on repeat mental thing you mentioned. if i have a good time with weed it's usually alone listening to records, but i feel personally i learn more about myself with psychedelics. mushrooms, lsd (or whatever you are getting they call lsd), and ketamine experiences all seem like a big look in the mirror, and typically i feel a lot more comfortable about myself and my "situation" with the universe. as for religious experiences i think that anyone who wants to, can convince themselves they are having a religious experience about anything. i could have a really religious experience taking a shit in the morning if i wanted to believe that, and that's both a good and a bad thing. like, you have all a lot of really (legalistic and close minded) christians, to separate the negative connotations from the genuine, who convince themselves that everyone who isn't for god is against god, and christians who convince themselves they are on a god given mission to rule the country and invade and destroy other people's cultures. people who would never touch a drug, and feel free to criticize those who do have that experience. living up to an ideal and having a god complex seems a lot more dangerous and destructive than a person who has a genuine interest in an introspective experience.

yeah, personally i feel the same way. mainly because i understand the drug, and can take my mind anywhere whilst smoking it. x

Yes agree with you, today I played TCH with a few joints of weed (THC yeess!!) and fuck! it was awesome. The songs sounded like... ¿ethereal sounds?- Slow this bird down or Tears from compound eye are a new way to understand boc muzik for me. I can't find words to define how I feel that but it has been magical...

I dont do many drugs but me and my fella went to a shit hole of a pub on friday night, got some pills and talked about a photograghy guy i heard about from the 1920s, he was like 10 or 12 years old when he took a picture of a girl jumping off a step and the pix is perfect, just in black and white but she is in the air and there is no movment which as these guys on this show where saying that it was imposible untill the late 60s to get a photo like this let alone in the 20's by a 12 year old.
anyway we talked about this for about 3 hours in a fantastic mood forgetting we were in a shit hole of a pub in a corner by ourselfs, really intense.
Got back to his house and put on some boc and chilled for the next 6 hours poppin pills. :lol:

anyway anyone know of this photographer? he got famous in the 60's and started to work for vogue and died in 1980ish, but was best known for his work of catching people off gaurd in great moods. think he was from a wealty french family. (thats very vauge)

also i never smoke weed cause i always get "the white death", always. but i wonder what else i should try without freaking my head out easyly.

Try extra caffeine and a long, long drive in rush hour. Maybe it's just me, but caffeine-induced euphoria is something else when listening to BoC and the world's rushing by, powered by Geogaddi. If only other people were there to 'get it'

it strikes me as really, really funny that I can listen to Beware The Friendly Stranger and realize that, at least by one interpretation of that song's meaning, I am that friendly stranger that people should beware of! LOL

turquoise70: sounds to me like you would be more into stuff like Ketamine and DXM than Mushrooms, not sure if somebody already said that. I'd still suggest trying Mushrooms again though.
