Mogwai
Any fans on here? Just listening to "kicking a dead pig" remix album...some of the stuff on there is amazing. The Gwai on 45 remix by Arab Strap is awesome, as is (topically) the Kevin Shield's Mix of "mogwai fear satan". anyone heard the album? what's your favourite Mogwai songs generally?

Re: Mogwai
Thats gotta be one of my favorite albums of all time. Jam that one during the summer alot. The arab strap remix is probably one of the most beautifull things you can hear, love that melody with the bells.DRS wrote:Any fans on here? wow, such a well thought out, constructed and grown-up way to reply. Not at all an attention seeker sitting at home dreaming up ways to "burn" people over the internet.Green Pylon wrote:Mogwai are the best post-rock band now, I like a lot the last album "mr.beast" and "rock action", frikin' awesooome!

I love Mogwai. GY!BE was my introduction to post-rock but Mogwai was the band that turned it into a lifestyle choice. I like their earlier stuff better, but I still love the new album. As much as I love the Loud/Soft aspect of post-rock, it has been done to death, and the new album proves that Mogwai are all about trying new stuff rather than just sticking to an aesthetic.

necessary to lie?Infinite E wrote:yeah green pylon always talks like that and is consequently awesome
I should explain that Mogwai are a new point of view of rock music for me, that 'eavy guitars and xplosive drums make a similar feel like Boc. Besides both bands are from Scotland consequently, the english repression could be the mother of scottish creativity? LOL
I apologize for my brief times posting here, the little islands where I live aren't big enough to be a unknown..
see ya
