yeah, i think it makes sense to suppose it's probably a self-imposed exile. i guess i do that with a lot of stuff in life, unwittingly. i'm a natural wonder at cutting off my nose to spite my face, unfortunately...

You've the right idea, it's more like, following kid to field, letting kid hear music in field, then letting him return to his friends where he wanted to be. He actually came back and followed me later and I was still talking with the music in.
