I've been listening to track 7 a lot lately on the live @atp set. This could definately be a contender for one of my favorite boc songs if only the quality of the mp3 was better. I love when the song shifts into ominous territory halfway through.

Track 3 from the lighthouse set, and track 7 from the warp set are also some of my favs. I really hope they release these songs so I can finally hear the studio versions with better quality.

one that i forgot is 'spectrum' from one of the old tunes volumes.
to me this is one of their best. its so droney and washed out and
conjures up memories of science class. test tubes and bunson burners.
amazing stuff.

That's a great one indeed.
I got a similar 'grainy' track with an awesome melody called 'Birthday Tape (Side B)' off a p2p netword. Does anyone know what it's called? It's about 2 min 6 secs long...

"sequoia" is also gorgeous. theres so many, we could go on forever.
they seem to re-use samples a lot too. like in 'on a rolling sea'
the sample of the kids saying 'wow' is used again in 'orange romeda' and the
scratchy muffled sample in the background of 'olson' version 3 is used again the
dirty great marble remix.

Question: where might I find any live tracks...such as the ones from the Warp party?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

The 'That tiny room at the beach was perfect for my first time...' sample is also re-used in Sir Prancelot Brainfire, and 'Orange Hexagon Sun' is similar to the Turquoise version in everything but the melody... and there's more :)

I think we can mix "Turquoise Hexagon Sun" and "Orange Hexagon Sun" together and see what will happen...

I hear ya brother; it's a magnificent track! I'd like it to be properly released.. maybe on the forthcoming album??? But I guess not... maybe we should write a letter and ask if they'll ever release those tracks from those livesets and if they won't we can kindly ask if they can spread them for free in high quality mp3s.. that would be great.. or have them put them on bleep or something... else i'd be happy to wait if they'll eventually will be released (maybe on the box set???)
