I don't know if it's been a bad year for movies or if I'm just not seeing the right ones, but here it goes:

1) No Country for Old Men
2) Hot Fuzz
3) Darjeeling Limited

Kinda embarrassed that I missed Darjeeling Limited. I know I'll love it when I get to see it.

Sunshine (Best Sci Fi movie I have seen since Aliens)
Casino Royale (Bond has new life)
Factory Girl (Sienna Miller...enough said)
I am Legend (I was very suprised at this one)
300 (Beautifully shot, Gory as hell)
Knocked Up
Superbad (A new highschool movie classic)
Transformers (Those fucking robots looked real)
28 Weeks Later (Anything with zombies or infected makes my list)

'sunshine' was very much like a cheesy 70s space/scifi movie, only modern and serious. the colors/sounds in this film are surreal and mesmerizing//

I actually did see (in the theater) Superbad, Knocked Up, Hot Fuzz, 300, 28 Weeks Later, AND Transformers... because all my friends were going, fuck

I just realized that I didn't go to see any realllllly good movies this year... here is my list of movies that I want to see the most from 2007, by order of how excited I am about seeing them, haha

1. There Will Be Blood (P.T. Anderson is godly.)
2. Darjeeling Limited (Rushmore!!1)
3. No Country for Old Men (The book was nuts, as are the Coen Brothers...)
4. The Bourne Ultimatum (I love this series to death.)
5. Sunshine (Danny Boyle, Cillian Murphy.. I was hooked from the moment I heard the title)
6. Pan's Labyrinth (So much buzz about this movie.. amazing director, too)

Superbad was the best theater experience I've ever had, people were keeled over with laughter. Hot Fuzz was a sad theater experience, because I was the only one laughing.. one of those moments where I am sorely reminded how dumb people here in America are

I love how everything is over-the-top. Its just...exadurated coolness. Even the cook's sausages are the shit!

grindhouse was pretty good.
1408 was good, only because i like john cusack and stephen king.
i just saw AVP:R and it totally sucked. check out the unrated trailer for it. it'll do you as much good as watching the whole movie.
28 weeks later was disappointing, but still kind of enjoyable.

darjeeling was up there for me. but my vote probably has to go to sunsine.

rescue dawn was also awesome. i saw juno last week, it was very funny and warm-hearted. knocked up and superbad were both great,i love judd apatow.

does the re-release of blade runner count? (it only took like 15 years...)

i still have yet to see there will be blood, but i ove PT anderson so im almost sure that would be on my list.

and yeah i also liked grindhouse. (i liked death proof more)

oh and uh... ninja turtles was great (what can i say? im a product of the 80s)
