Congratulations!! I hope you guys had a great wedding. Do either of you have family in Japan or did you have family come to Japan or how did you arrange it? I can imagine getting hitched without my momma!

haha.. this reminded me of it Mall Rats when they are discussing why Lois can never have superman's baby because Superman would "blow a load like a shotgun right through her back" and how your womb couldn't handle it and well it goes on and on. I imagine your girl is the equivalent to Wonder Woman so it should work out

my nihongo, or japanese isn't coming on as fast as i'd hoped it would. i can read all hiragana, most katakana, and a few kanji. my grammar is complete rubbish, i know a lot of words, and some conversational words that aren't used in formal situations, so i can express how i'm feeling. i can under stand about maybe 10% of conversations but if i can pick the right words out of them i understand what people are talking about. i'm 30 this year so i thought it was time to get married before no one wants me anymore. japan is an amazing place, but its not how you picture it when you cant speak the language, dont live in tokyo, dont have a job, and little money (i'm comfortable enough though, eat well, go to arcade at least once a week, eat out once a week). it can get lonely as well if you are not truely up for it. i'm not backpacking, so there isn't much adventure for me, i live near the city in an apartment block. its not a particularily nice area, the yakuza are known to be around here but i haven't had any trouble and people seem to be nice enough to me, certainly people my age and younger.
