seriously though, i still like to go back and have a listen to a lot of the crappy shit i used to love in high school. a lot of it already has some nostalgic value to me. i actually was in the car the other day trying to find a good song on the radio (there are some decent classic rock stations here) and KoRn came on and I flipped right past it before realizing it wasn't just ANY angst metal, it was good ol' pre-2000 KoRn.

I had to listen.

1 more confession: i fuggin love old green day, like basket case. ace!!! *assassinated*
I am an admitted old school Korn fan (I'll omit the capital r for personal reasons...)
I have the first album. I also, though it came out in 2002, am growing fond of Untouchables... I feel like I'm at an AA meeting...

Green Day's Dookie was the first album I ever bought. Purchased it on cassette back in 95. Yup.

I guess I'm the odd one out, cause I've always had an IDM/experimental music taste since I was about 11.
One of my first actual CD's was The Books' The Lemon of Pink, another was Radiohead's OK Computer (Not all that experimental or IDM, but it was a good start, right?).
The Campfire Headphase came soon after that.

just saw linkin park last night at tinley park. amazing show! I am admittedly not the biggest fan of linkin park but the show was great. I found most of their newer music to be more electronic and less formulaic than their earlier material.

I actually hate their new material with a passion, but thoroughly enjoyed Hybtid Theory and Meteora. I mean crawling is not a bad song!
