Said it before and I'll say it again, Campfire is a special piece of work. Maybe not as immediate as MHTRTC or Geogaddi, but still worthy of the name BOC and I still love listening to it now.

Also (and I've said this before too), the next album will be ready when it's ready. They can take until 2025 for all I care as long as it's not released until THEY think it's ready. I love the fact that it appears they are a law unto themselves and don't feel the need to saturate us with sub-standard material to keep a record label happy. Long may that approach continue.

I wouldn't mind a cd/dvd combo release. A whole audio/visual experience.

The day they release an album with singing is the day I toss out all of their records and finally understand why so many people hate them. I swear it would either be a total sell out-ing or it would be the fucking laziest possible way to evolve as a band they could think of.

It must be a horrible experience to be one of the members of BOC and reading this topic...so much opinions so much negative energy and so little love for BOC.

Please just respect them and let them do what they do best and that is fantastic music.

Everyone want different things, the most important thing is if Boards Of canada are satisfied with the record and if they are I know I will love it.

All records have been very different but still BOC and thats what I love about them.

Bring on singing, synths, guitars, ambience, whatever I know it will be a total BLISS and I cant wait!

Correct me if I'm wrong, are you implying they are in fact making music with vocals but using another moniker than BoC for it?

Mike & Marcus: "hey najm, we don't want to seem too media friendly, so could you head on over to twoism and insult all the fans for us please?"

haha, well i don't think i've insulted anyone! except a couple of posters who are already hurling unwarranted abuse at boc for some reason
some reason could be personal taste? and since everyone's entitled to his or her own opinion it shouldn't be too big of a deal?

You'd better supply us some really good trustworthy news, if you're allowed to  or perhaps some comment on something I wrote earlier in this thread:
Fredd-E wrote: Define early and minimal/simple? I wouldn't dare saying tracks on MHTRTC are extremely minimal/simple nor less sophisticated in such a manner that there's a huge gap between MHTRTC/Geogaddi and The Campfire Headphase.

I think there's a lot to MHTRTC/Geogaddi and to be honest I've listened more times to Geogaddi than any other album... there's just something about Geogaddi that grabs my attention everytime... an air of mystique... or perhaps I'm just more fond of the more dark and sinister tracks. Not that I dislike TCH or anything, but it just doesn't grab me the way other albums by BoC do.

But, I'm really looking forward to what they will bring next. And I find it kinda odd that there hasn't been a new BoC in 2007 even though some proper sources told there would be a new album in 2007. At least sources I thought that could be considered as proper sources; like hexsunofficial on watmm.
And what about a box set of old tunes?

Desire...

if I long for an update from warp it is because I dislike folk speculating and pretending to be official...

It would be awesome it this is really true. Perhaps they were a bit late to have a 2007 release (like some trustworthy sources spoke of in the past), but now they come with an early 2008 release? Would be sweet.
