oot volume 3 (the remix collection)

just proposing an idea that we all contact an artist within the board that has a track we want to remix and release the remixes as a collection for the next comp....what do you think? anybody up for remixing each other?

i dont think source files should be used (i dont even keep my own), and no its not remixing songs from the previous comps...

I think it makes more sense to remix songs from the first 2 volumes, but it should be open for other tracks if so desired. Same with the original source material it should be made available if possible or needed, but left up to the remixer for what they want to use.

i wholeheartedly agree with hills here. if remixing is done it should be an original interpretation of another artist's work. if he/she decides they want to use a section of the preson they are remixing's melody, they should re-record it themselves.

hmm, i disagree here. i think the choice should be available to you, pending the permission of the original artist. i only say because i am considering taking part in this, if i can focus myself long enough.
