Sounds good, obviously. Pity 2008 only just started...

boc gonna do an interview soon?,update wud be appreciated greatly

Hi John, as with each album, there will be extensive press coverage around the new release. The interviews usually start to appear in publications within about 3-4 weeks of the release date, (which hasn't been announced yet).

All I can tell you for now is that there is a major new album on the way soon, and other releases. They've been working on the album solidly for over a year and a half - as well as some great collaborations which will surface in 2008.

Thanks for your question... Best wishes for now!
Mark
This is pretty interesting stuff. Might be worth putting it in a separate thread explaining where it came from to stop the same question being asked all the time.

right, that redmoon portion of their website in June 2006 was a totally useful tidbit. they would never post things that are purposely confusing, vague, or misleading.

but of course it is!!! they created the enigma that is BoC, with them not having played "live" for years to the public. they put that message up like some sort of riddle or puzzle for people solve, and who were the ones who were going to find it in the first place? thats right, the hardcore fans. the ones who check the site more than once a week, the ones who post on msg boards like this one, the ones who buy their albums. i'm jealous of the people who have actually had a chance to interview these guys, i think if i had the opportunity it would change my perception of who these 2 are and make them seem a little more down to earth. sure, its supposed to be "all about the music, man..." but we live in a society where we are constantly fed information, garbage or otherwise, whether it be by video, audio, television, newspapers, magazines, internet or word of mouth. people like to be "in the know", thats why everyone here is thirsty for information. the red moon fiasco got everyone really drunk on the whole enigma thing, and now everyone has a big fucking hangover. that june 06 helped create a lot of that cynicism that we see today amongst BoC fans.

BUT... could you imagine if you had actually solved the riddle and found the party with BoC playing?

I'm sorry to say but I think it's rather naive of them to think only the local crowd would take notice of this redmoon code. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that a gazillion of boc fans would see the image on the main page and then make a big internet fuzz about it. :-/

PS: url please of the new announcement site?

well, after the initial firestorm of internet drama launched out of control, they didn't take it down. they changed it a time or two, fueling further speculation as to what the changes meant.

don't get me wrong, i don't care. i await the new album happily and don't really care about whether they give us updates or not. but, i just think it's crap if they claim that they don't intentionally drop the occasional nugget to feed their sense of mystique.

It was solved in part. The date and location were there to see.

It's a shame for everyone else that the guys who met up went to the wrong place. They, of course, maintain that it didn't matter.

Tch! And now we're told there's a couple a year and a secret website! I think I'd rather have not known that actually. Kind of annoying.

Then they shouldn't have authorized their webmaster to put it onto the WORLD wide web at all. Yet again very naive.
