holy shit!

Big names:
Le tigre
Metric
Mogwai
Ratatat
Caribou

And a bunch of local shows. Id go to shows more if there were more shows worth going to. Unfortunately Houstons music scene is kind of dull, especially after this ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=JxKQb03A0bw)( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40x2KghHX_A&NR=1 )

I've only seen two rock bands, (not counting local stuff)

Tool,
Melt Banana,

But I've seen lots of world artists:

Cesaria Evora,
Huun Huur Tu,
Ibrahim Ferrer,
La Bottine Souriante,
La Vent du Nord,
Caetano Veloso,
Bana,
Lura,
Norberto Tavares,
Maria De Barros,
Ferro Gaita,
and a bunch of other artists I can't quite remember
Black then White are all I see in my infancy...Red and Yellow then came to me, reachin' out to me, lets me see...

I haven't seen many famous acts..
Only Ravi Shankar, Ali Akbar Khan and Battles.

But I've seen Ray Parker Jr. (the guy who made the Ghostbusters theme) and a bunch of local math-rock bands and other stuff.

Marilyn Manson (the actual show that got him banned from my state for years)

(these i can hardly remember because of being drunk/high/etc)

Sepultura
Puya
Hatebreed
The Toadies
Queens Of The Stone Age
Local H
Burning Brides
Dreamend
Grace Cathedral Park
Dub Narcotic Sound System

The first concert I even went to was Lauren Hill.. I think I was about 12 or so!
Since then I have seen:
Barenaked Ladies x3 or maybe 4 I don't remember!
Primus x2
Pearl Jam x3
Weezer
Tenacious D
Tool
Tom Petty x2
Garbage
Violent Femmes
Less Than Jake
Reel Big Fish
Ani Difranco
Buzzcocks
Radiohead
Thats all that is coming to mind, I think I may be forgetting some smaller venues. I had tickets to see CocoRosie a few months ago but the show got canceled.
kyriakos- I am jealous that you have seen Bjork! Although, I have been disappointed with her recent releases :P

I suck :)

I've seen Yes, twice.
And Basia. And Peter White.

...that's it. (I don't get out much, especially not for concerts)\

Not that I wouldn't love to see a lot of things (BoC, Caribou, Bjork, others...)
Viper.

Seems we have somewhat similar tastes, Frank.

click

edit:

If I would have seen every band on every festival I would have seen 338 gigs of 290 unique bands at 64 different times in 31 unique places.

A few that stand out for me are:

Massive Attack (possibly the best live performance I've seen, but then I do love them)
Explosions in the Sky
UNKLE
Goldfrapp
DJ Shadow
Flying Lotus

I'm going to the Bloc Weekend in March, which means I'm going to witness the likes of Ochre, Christ., Amon Tobin, Luke Vibert, Monolake, The Black Dog, Digitonal and many more...alright 8)
