The combination is spectacular! You're going to have a good weekend indeed.

The "Gyroscope" incident was at the tail end of an 8 hour joy ride, getting any sleep seemed impossible. Perhaps "The Campfire Headphase" would have been a more appropriate choice at the time.

"The Devil Is In The Details" always freaked me out the most. The effect they put on the voice reminds me of the Exorcist or something like that. It's creepy.

Does no one else think The Beach at Redpoint is a little disturbing? All the layers of distorted sound just make it really eerie and give me a really claustrophobic feeling. It's like there's something in the music that's trying to get a hold of you. The beats and obviously the title make me associate it with the tides of the sea, but in turn the general tone of the record and the sample of the girl just make me think of drowning... Maybe a bit of a fucked up interpretation but would be interesting to see what everyone else thinks.

When I listen to Beach and Redpoint, I always get this view of a scratchy black and white WW2 film, panning over a beach head before invasion. It's got a foreboding, quiet-before-the-storm sense to me.

you're right...the distorted vocals add such an eerie mood to the track. i remember sitting on a hill at the end of august last summer, the sun set...and i was left in complete darkness...i decided it would be best to walk onto a lower level...as i walked through the woods this track came on...the full moon appeared, the sense of freedom yet overwhelming loneliness. it seemed to capture the moment perfectly.

The weird thing is that even though it can be an uncomfortable listening experience, it's still one of my favourite tracks. I think it's the tracks that can make you feel the emotions you wouldn't expect that are often the greatest. It's good to experience unpleasant emotions sometimes, helps to put things in perspective and makes the happy moments all the more powerful and relevant.

This is my favorite track, and It still gives me goosebumps. The beep beep sound throughout this song gives it such a sense of urgency. I find it extremely intense, but never disturbing. I use this track as my alarm.... it's a pleasure to wake up to
