Macquarie Ridge is okay, but it's nowhere near Zoetrope.
Saying that Zoetrope is "more of a filler" is not like saying half their output is filler.

Both are equal, though I honestly listen to Macquarie more.

It doesn't change for 4 minutes so it's filler? I don't understand.

There's something about Macquarie that bores me. It's nice enough, but not very interesting.

Am I insane?

yes. Macquarie is awe-freakin-some. Zeotrope is amazing too. But they shouldn't be compared, I really don't think any BoC song should in truth. they are built for different moods and situations.

Macquarie Ridge. I like that music video some guy did that's just a lot of 1000 FPS clips of things happening (bananas getting shot with bullets, an apple getting shot, an egg getting shot, lots of things getting shot).

Macquarie Ridge wins hands down. Zoetrope is nice, but only a simple progression of synths with little development--whereas Macquarie ridge is a luminous, majestic piece of work which builds on itself, layering ever deeper and constructing one of the most beautiful compositions of juxtaposed chordal structures I've ever been witness to...
couldn't have said it better myself.
