Travel suggestions - Where should I go on vacation?

My girlfriend and I have 2 weeks of vacation scheduled for mid-July and we're trying to figure out where to go. We were looking to spend that time in Iceland, though it's really expensive and may be out of our budget this year.

Our idea of a good vacation is seeing unique sights, relaxing, eating well, and spending time witn nature.

So, considering we're all spread over the globe, can anyone recommend some vacation spots?

Sweden. Less expensive than Iceland (just). The archipeligos, Gothenburg (harbour), forests, mountains etc are lush. Cleanest air I've ever inhaled and really nice people. High standards for most things.

i'm lucky that i've been able to do some travel in my life so far.

loved New Zealand- south island has all the clean air, stunning scenary and mountains you could ask for. alternatively come to SCOTLAND!!!!!! like NZ only on a smaller scale and with less sunshine- obviously.

Norway is pretty cool for the same reasons but more expensive.

or how's about Ireland (west coast for starters). there's a lot to be said for ending a day with nature supping a pint of the black stuff while some locals bang out some tunes.

anyways, there;s my suggestions.

Southern France/Northern Spain. Biarritz, France is incredible. There is great scenery/art/people/food/weather in Bilbao, Burgos, Madrid, Toledo, and San Sebastian, Spain too.

Spain in general kicks. I definitely plan on studying in Madrid in two years to finish up college.

All great suggestions, thanks folks! So far we've been thinking about Hawaii (in the states), Ireland, Scotland, France, Italy, and Sweden. We'll probably save Japan (I've already been there once and it was amazing) and Iceland for other years.
