if you haven't already seen this in theaters make a point to go see it while it's still there. featuring music from john zorn. this movie should have you really thinking after it's all said and done. practically a shot for shot remake of his original thriller micheal haneke remakes funny games for his intended american audience. one of the best movies i've seen in years, or possibly the worst. don't read up on it or you'll ruin it. just go see it.

WARNING: this movie is not i repeat not for the faint of heart.

i haven't got a chance to see the original yet, but the remake was awesome. apparently there are some small changes, but haneke put them in to adjust the film to the times from what i've read. other than that it has naked city (john zorn) songs on the soundtrack. brutal music for an equally brutal film.

sorry, i guess i should have posted this in "the last movie that struck you" thread, but either way the movie is so damn good it deserves it's own thread. criterion should be all over this one. maybe they can still redeem themselves for putting out armageddon.
