I never found the Simpsons particularly funny. Granted, I'd laugh occasionally but it doesn't mesh well with my sense of humour.

I thought it was a great ep nonetheless.

Apparently it parodies the film Heavy Metal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_Boobage), particularly the hallucination parts.

damnit, that episode was good. My room mate bought the newest season of family guy on dvd, I watched an episode and was part way through the second when I was bored with it and turned it off. They've definitely gone downhill.

It's true. Family Guy does it for me 80% of the time, but South Park has consistently been the best comedy show on TV since it was aired.

The latest ep of SP I saw (SP overrun with hobos) wasn't excellent.
Too few jokes, and even fewer that were actually funny.
Like the 2 minutes of the scientist trying to kill himself.
That just wasn't funny.
