Post your theories about why the new album is taking so long! This is for fun, so please: no posts about how lame everything is and how lame these threads are and how lame I am for posting this, etc, etc.

Mine:

The brothers are waiting for Aphex Twin to finish remixing Everything You Do Is A Balloon, which will be a bonus track.

They finished over 14 months ago. It's done. Since then they have fallen totally out of love with their music and decided to call it a day. It will never be released. They won't announce this though due to the fear of fans commiting suicide the world over.

this is the most plausible, though i would omit the fan reference...ah heck, they don't love us anymore

When you look at how long some bands take between albums, they really aren't taking that long. Its just that we love them and can't get enough.

My theory: ADD or its hyperactive cousin, ADHD.

No but then some bands split up and reform, go on an eight year hiatus, go through turbulent times, change labels, members die ... BoC are just taking their time to perfect it, which is fair enough ... just seems the lack of news is the irritation
